# Verify

> Use this API to verify if a given PAN exists. You will receive the name registered with the PAN and the PAN type (Individual or Business) in the response for a valid PAN. View the [test data](https://www.cashfree.com/docs/api-reference/vrs/data-to-test-integration#pan) and use the information to trigger the validations. The test data are usable only in the test environment sandbox.
